※The public beta feature can be utilized by customers in one or more datacenters prior to official production release.

◆DM component(v1.10.1)

No Updates.

◆Print Scan component(v2026.09.17)

Ricoh Cloud Terminal (Gen2 Emb)

Adjustable scan density on scan workflows

Users can now change the density (lightness/darkness) setting for a scan workflow directly on the terminal.

This gives users control over how light or dark the scanned output is, so it can be tuned to suit different originals.

Scanning

The Generic HTTPS Connector can now authenticate to its target endpoint

The Generic HTTPS Connector can now be configured with authentication, so it can connect to target endpoints that require authenticated requests.

◆Print Scan component(v2026.09.03)

・Offline Printing

Description

When connectivity is lost, users can continue printing and are presented with a new UI giving them their available options. The client offers to send the job directly to one of up to five recently used printers, with the most recently used pre-selected.

What’s Changed

・The new UI provides a much improved user experience giving them information and options available to them
・Previously, offline printing was only available in certain configurations, now its automatically there for all users without set-up regardless of configuration.
・If no printers are available for direct printing (e.g. user has never printed before or there are no printers visible to the end user device), the job will be cancelled, and the user will be asked to resubmit later
・Everything printed offline is automatically reported to the server once the connection is restored, keeping print history and accounting complete

Benefits

Improves business continuity during connectivity interruptions, meaning users that have critical printing needs can still output print jobs when internet connections are lost or there are service interruptions

・Security: Personal Data Masking Role

Description

Usernames and document names can now be masked based on role permissions, independently of the account-level Privacy setting.

What’s Changed

・A new permission, ViewUnmaskedPersonalData, controls visibility of personal data across the platform
・Users whose role does not hold this permission see anonymized values in reports, job lists, and job search
・Those users also cannot access audit logs, regardless of the account’s Privacy setting
・Previously, anonymization only applied when the Privacy setting was enabled at account level

Benefits

Strengthens personal data protection through granular, role-based access control, reducing the risk of accidental data exposure and making it easier to comply with organizational privacy policies.

Release Notes for V2.38.0

+ Added feature
x Improved/changed feature
– Bug fixed
! Limitation

*The public beta feature can now be utilized by all customers with access to all production data center prior to official production release.

Device Management

No updates.

Print Scan UI

x The email template editor now shows only the variables valid for the template being edited

Each built-in email template supports its own set of variables, but the editor previously showed the same fixed list regardless of which template was open. The editor now shows only the variables that apply to the template being edited.

– Reporting is now reachable from restricted customer networks

Reporting is served from a separate domain from the main tenant, which was not documented as a requirement — customers with restricted outbound network policies could end up blocking it without realising it was needed. The additional domain is now documented so administrators can allow it.

– A requested output page size on the public API is no longer silently ignored

Uploading a document through the public API with a named output page size (for example A5) had no effect — the conversion and print-scaling steps did not recognise the internal format the size was converted to, and the document printed at its original size instead. The requested page size is now applied.

Secondary Gateway

No updates.

PC Client

– The client’s connection to the server is no longer dropped by forwarding proxies

Some forwarding proxies terminate idle network connections after a period of inactivity, which could silently break the client’s connection to the server every hour or so. The client now keeps the connection active so it is not mistaken for idle.

Authentication

x Administrators can now control the order of authentication provider buttons on the login screen

The order in which authentication provider buttons appeared on the login screen was previously incidental rather than configurable. Administrators can now control the display order of these buttons.

x Authentication provider priority now also affects the default user search directory

The default directory used when searching for users was always Local users, regardless of which authentication provider was configured with higher priority. The default search directory now follows the same priority order as the authentication providers.

Scanning

+ The Generic HTTPS Connector can now authenticate to its target endpoint

The Generic HTTPS Connector can now be configured with authentication, so it can connect to target endpoints that require authenticated requests.

– A single large OCR request no longer blocks other OCR requests from finishing

A long-running OCR request on a large document could stall completion of other OCR requests already in progress for extended periods. OCR requests now finish independently of each other.

Partner hosted and on-premises installations

Ricoh Cloud Terminal (Gen2 Emb)

+ Adjustable scan density on scan workflows

Users can now change the density (lightness/darkness) setting for a scan workflow directly on the terminal.

This gives users control over how light or dark the scanned output is, so it can be tuned to suit different originals.

– Duplex ignored for Web upload jobs with “Original” output page size

When a job was submitted via Web upload and the Output page size was set to “Original”, the terminal did not respect the selected duplex (two-sided) setting.

The terminal now correctly applies the selected duplex setting in this scenario.

– Rounding artifact in “Print all” total price

The total price shown for the “Print all” action could display a floating-point rounding artifact (for example, 1.2000000000000002) instead of a properly rounded currency value.

The total is now displayed as a correct currency amount.

– Duplicate endpoint shown for an approved device

An approved device could still appear as a duplicate endpoint after some time, caused by token-refresh failures.

The terminal now treats invalid-signature and missing-signature responses as recoverable token-refresh errors, preventing the device from re-appearing as a duplicate endpoint.

Fujifilm BI Cloud Terminal (Gen2 Emb)

No updates.

HP Workpath Cloud Terminal (Gen2 Emb)

– The option to lock native Settings and Reports apps is available again

Customers who were used to having the native Settings and Reports applications unlocked lost that option in an earlier release with no way to restore the previous configuration. Administrators can again choose whether these applications are locked.

Print Scan UI

× Updated navigation and menu design.
The navigation and menu skeleton have been redesigned for a more consistent look and feel across the product family.

– Uploaded Excel documents now render in the correct language.
An Excel workbook uploaded for printing is converted to PDF for output, but the conversion did not use the viewer’s locale, so day and month names always rendered in English regardless of the workbook’s own language. The conversion now uses the correct locale.

– Adding a single printer above the license limit no longer fails silently.

Adding printers one at a time through the advanced form did nothing when the license limit had been reached, with no warning shown and no printer created.

– Deleting an email template in use no longer silently breaks the feature repying on it.

An email template could be deleted even while it was still referenced by an account setting or a trigger, silently breaking that feature. Deleting a template now checks whether it is in use and warns before the deletion proceeds.

– Direct print queues created from an existing printer are no longer invisible to queue lookups.

Creating a direct print queue on an existing printer, with the printer’s own node selected in the object tree, placed the new queue under the wrong parent. The queue was created correctly but did not appear in the print-queues list, in queue pickers, or in job routing. The queue now appears wherever queues are listed.

– Norwegian is no longer rendered as English in the interface.

Secondary Gateway

No updates.

PC Client

+ Brand New Offline Mode

The RICOH CloudStream Client can print even when it cannot reach theCloudStream server. For example during a network or server outage. Offline printing is always available and needs no configuration.

When you print to a secure (pull) print queue while offline, the client offers to send the job directly to one of the printers you have used recently. When you print to a direct queue, the job goes to its usual printer as normal. Everything printed offline is reported to the server automatically once the connection is restored, so your print history and accounting stay complete.

Printing while offline

When you print to a secure print queue while the client is offline, the Send directly to a printer dialog appears. It offers up to five printers where you recently released print jobs, with the most recently used one pre-selected. Select a printer and click Print Directly – the document prints immediately, without logging in at the device. Or click Cancel if you do not want to print right now. For more details, see Offline print in the documentation.

– Print jobs are no longer rejected as unsupported data on some Canon devices

PDF print jobs generated by the client failed on several Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE models with the panel error “Could not execute because the file contains unsupported data”, while the same document printed correctly when uploaded through the Web UI. The jobs produced by the client are now accepted by these devices.

– Landscape documents are stapled in the correct position.

A multi-page landscape document sent from the desktop client and printed with stapling could be stapled in the wrong position instead of the position requested. Stapling now matches the requested position.

Fujifilm BI Cloud Terminal (Gen2 Emb)

No updates.

HP Workpath Cloud Terminal (Gen2 Emb)

– Document name is no longer missing when printed via a secure queue.

A document printed through a secure queue in local storage mode could reach the terminal without its document name under some conditions. The document name is now preserved.

Security enhancements

+ Personal data is hidden from roles that are not permitted to see it

Until now, usernames and document names were anonymized only when a customer account had the Privacy setting enabled. A new permission, ViewUnmaskedPersonalData, now also controls this: a user whose role does not hold it sees anonymized values in reports, job lists and job search, and cannot open audit logs, regardless of the account’s own Privacy setting.

Others

× Documentation now lists all built-in template variables
The documentation did not have a single conclusive list of the variables available for use in templates. A complete list of built-in variables, and where each can be used, has been added.

× Documentation expanded to cover common support questions

Based on a review of a year of support consultations, the documentation has been expanded to answer several questions that recurred often enough to routinely need engineering involvement, so administrators and partners can find the answers directly.
