Who is affexted

This change affects customers using:

•Legacy PC clients and Gateways prior to version 2024.09 (or prior 3.47)

•Legacy Mobile app (officially end of life on 31-Dec-2024)

•Cloud Embedded terminals in situations where customers don’t allow communication from the MFPs on 443 but only on the legacy ports (7400,8705).

What you need to do

•Update your legacy PC clients and gateways to the latest version.

•Migrate to the supported Mobile app.

•Update your Chrome extension to the latest release.

Important: Legacy port deprecation – action required by July 1, 2026

To improve security, resilience, and reliability of our service, we are retiring legacy communication ports 2560, 8705, 7300, 7400 and 9444 in our public datacenters. This change enforces use of port 443 and TLS 1.3 across all connections, strengthens error recovery, improves update scalability, and reduces potential downtime. As of July 1, 2026, these ports will be permanently blocked. There is no change for local communication with Gateways.

What’s changing

Only the following connections will remain active: HTTPS and WebSockets over port 443 (TLS 1.3)

Who is affected

This change affects customers using:

  • Legacy PC clients and Gateways prior version 2024.09 (or prior 3.47)
  • Legacy Chrome extension prior version 2024.09
  • Legacy Mobile app
  • Cloud Embedded terminals in situations where the customers doesn’t allow communication from the MFPs on 443 but only on the legacy ports (7400,8705).

What you need to do

  • Update your legacy PC clients and gateways to the latest version.
  • Migrate to the supported Mobile app.
  • Update your Chrome extension to the latest release.
  • Ensure port 443 is open in your firewall and network configuration.
  • If you have any questions, please contact RICOH_CloudStream_RCL_marketing@jp.ricoh.com.

We are planning to inform the regions, separately from the Service Solution Engineering Department, about customer impacts and requests to the field around mid-May.
